  1. Hi everyone, i own a HX Stomp and a HX Stomp XL Very often, after using the Stomp XL (rehearsal room) I export my presets/setlist using a computer and HX Edit. Then I import (at home) presets and setlist into my HX Stomp. Sofar it works OK, but i have noticed that: - when I import a HX Stomp XL preset into the HX Stomp, and then export the same preset, then all info related to the 4th snapshot gets lost... This is logical, since HX Stomp does not support a 4th snapshot. Still, I wish that the info about the 4th snapshot would stay in the exported preset .hlx file ! That would make it easier to move presets back and forth between HX Stomp and HX Stomp XL... Any idea how to solve this issue ?!

  3. I've been able to import presents from CustomTone--and they show in edit view and in PODGo Edit just fine--but they don't actually make a sound! I've watched some tutorial videos and it seems like I'm doing everything as I should. Any ideas here?
  4. Hello all...............I am just getting back into guitar in my mid-40s after taking a VERY long sabbatical. MUCH has changed during my MANY years off. I just picked up my first electrical guitar last week (a nice Charvel!!) but have NOT purchased an amp yet. Having owned MANY JMP45s back in the day as well as Rivera Knuckleheads (killer cleans), plus cabinets, not to mention a couple of racks full of rack mounted gear (Rocktron, Soldano, VHT, etc), I know how expensive AND expansive gear can quickly become when you don't want just one tone but rather ALL tones!! My primary influences were the glam hair bands of the 80s (Def Leppard, Tesla, Cinderella, Poison, etc) as well as classic rock (Bad Company, Free, AC/DC) etc but I LOVE clean sounds and some heavy Metallica like sounds as well. Part of what appeals to me is the ability of the community to create and share. Being able to download tones created by others is very appealing when you seek various tonal qualities. My playing will probably just be confined to home for personal enjoyment/relaxation only. I don't see doing gigs in my future. Been there done that. So, I don't think I need nor can I afford a room full of Marshalls, Mesas, Bogners, Soldanos, Diesels, etc. I can't believe I might be able to get a boat load of tones from a modeler now. Modelers had (*IMHO*) very little real world use (*such as practice when you were traveling and couldn't have your amps with you) when they first came out. Now, I am excited to think I might be able to actually do this and keep it to one room of the house, not break the bank, AND be happy with having MANY GOOD (if not EXCELLENT) tones. I was lucky to find Glenn Delaune's YouTube video and his custom artist presets. The quality and range of tones in his video are what is driving me towards Line 6. However, I really like the idea of keeping my gear in a rack (otherwise, it will be everywhere because, well, frankly, I'm just a slob). Therefore, I would prefer an HD Pro, but have not ruled out the HD500/HD500X. HERE is my question (finally, you long winded dirtbag!): will custom artist presets created for the HD500 and/or HD500X work on the HD Pro rack mount modeler? I have read that all of the HD, HD500, HD Pro and HD 500X presets are all interchangable by simply renaming the file extension. .hbe (bean) .h5e (HD500) .5Xe (HD500X )or .hre (POD HD Pro) so they would probably work but I would like to confirm. Does anyone know? Is this a factual assumption? I would prefer to keep everything racked if possible. However, if they do not, then I am looking at a used HD500 or possibly HD500X. I wasn't sure if there was any technical differences in the rackmount Pro and the floor model 500/500x that would allow or prevent patches from one to work on the other. Thanks in advance!! Looking forward to getting back into this!!!!
  5. I'm just trying to "move in" to my user defined preset banks (user 1 etc.) On Helix Floor. Is there no way to copy an entire preset signal path to a new location and use it as a starting point? Does everything have to be built block by block? Would Native allow me to drag and drop things from location to location an thereby "import" them to my floor unit? What gives?
  6. Hi Guys, there are some XT LIVE tones I really like, I've been using them for my live sound for a while, is there a way to import/transfer them to my new HD500X? Thanks!
  7. Hi. I am new to Mobile POD and only got real experiences from Apps like JamUp, ToneStack, AmpKit. So far I use a App called iFile Organizer to play along over audio-tracks from my bandmates. iFile Organizer offers the ability to loop parts of a song and lets you decide the tempo up- and downwards. As the Mobile POD App offers similar features I thought about using these when jamming, but there is a big disadvantage, which seems to be the "import possibilities". Regardless to what other App I refer, all those others can be feed by using the "open in...", "Import to...", "send to..." feature of the cloud-services like iCloud, Drive and Dropbox where Mobile POD only seems to support the iTunes library as a source for imports into it's setlist. But this library itself can only be feed by purchasing tracks or syncing the music in your iTunes-Desktop library. Does anyone have a solution for this? How do you import playalong tracks into a music-setlist of Mobile POD?
  8. Hey guys, I thought I'd make this a separate post so that it's easier to find for anyone who might be having some issues. The patches for the HD500 do not import directly into the HD500X Edit software at this time. They use different file formats. There is a work-around that I posted earlier, and is being passed around now. All you have to do is change the extension on the patch files: For individual patches, change the extension from .h5e to .5xe For bundles, change the file extension from .h5b to .5xb For setlists, change the file extension from .h5s to .5xs I have found no inconsistencies among the patches from the HD500 Edit to the HD500X Edit using this method. I don't know if/when Line 6 will update the software to allow backwards compatibility, but in the mean time, you can use this method to get your 500 patches to your 500X. UPDATE: Someone else mentioned that you can drag-and-drop individual HD500 files into the tone slots in the 500X Edit software. I can confirm that this works. You will still need to change the file names for set-lists and bundles, though.
  9. I've had my HELIX Rack and Foot Controller for a couple of weeks now. I have it worked into my pedal board, and it's replaced everything that was once on the floor with the Helix Controller and "2" Morley M2 Expression Pedals. Today I was trying to finalize my Patch Setups and found a couple that I wanted to Download and Import in the Line6 Tone section. Import went just fone on all 4 of them. I saved them - and exported a full Bundle before I started to tweak things. When I step on the MODE button on the Foot Controller to swap it over to the STOMP BOX mode - all of the STOMP BOX's are BLANK. On screen on the HELIX Editor - it shows 7 Stomp Boxes - I moved to a Factory Patch - clicked MODE and all of the Stomp boxes are there, as they appear in the Helix Editor. Why can't I see them in the ones that I imported?? My HELIX Rack and Foot Controller are at Firmware 2.12, as is my Helix Editor - I'm on a MAC with macOS Sierra 10.12.3 Any help that you could offer would be much appreciated !!
  10. Newbie here. Just bought a Line 6 Spider IV 75W & FBV MKII Shortboard. I've downloaded dozens of .s4e custom tones to my Win 7 PC but have no idea how to load them into my Amp and MKII Shortboard. See attached file of one of the custom tones in .s4e format. I downloaded the Line 6 FBV Control app but when I do a File/Open it only appears able to address .fbv files. Have scoured numerous sources and have not seen this addressed. Stumped. Rikki
