  1. Hey guys, I'm a huge fan of that good and warm tube amp sounding. I'm a using a Mesa Boogie Triaxis over the past 5 years always with multi FX rack units (PCM 80, Eclipse, G-Major, G-Force, etc.). I have been using the Axe Fx Ultra over the last two months and I decided to give Helix a go. I know it's a amp modeler and its made so we don't have to use anything else... BUT, I'd appreciate if a current owner could share an opinion on how can I wire these two units together. Many thanks!
  2. I currently use each of these three guitar preamps (ada mp-1, marshall jmp-1, mesa triaxis) thru it’s own snd/rtn fx loop (all set to instrument). This way they are all accessible in the chain and i can change patches with a midi controller. All this works just fine, all fx of the helix are where they need to be (before or after the preamp) while the Main out of the helix goes in mesa 2:90. Again, this setup works fine but I find the preamps to all sound rather thin compared to a standard full amp in 4cm. Maybe has to do with ada conversion of the preamps thru the fx loop? Does anyone else use multi external preamps but hooked up in a different way and get fatter sound? the idea is to be able to use the helix as multi fx with all three preamps
  3. I tried out my Mesa Boogie TriAxis with 4CM and get an awful noise. We've gone through about twenty different troubleshooting ideas on the facebook group and haven't found a winner yet. Three solutions I was not yet able to try due to lack of availability: Isolated coupler Hum buster cable ISP Decimator Anyway, the TriAxis is a beast and sounds great regardless of the hum. I don't think I'll be taking it to any gigs like this, though.
  4. Hi everybody, I would require some help from some of you ! I own a POD XT live & I would like to use it both as a multi effect processor and a midi controller for my triaxis (V2) preamp. My goal is to activate a chanel change on the triaxis with both an effect from the POD with ONE SINGLE FOOTSWITCH on stage. Obviously I've switched off the amp simulation on the POD (not to interact with triaxis) but I can't succeed in changing of chanel and effect with it I seems there is no dialog between the POD and the triaxis... Please help me if you know the answer ! :o Would anyone give me the step-by-step (i am a beginner in MIDI) procedure ? Thanks Val
