papatrimble
Hi all, This is my first post, please move if I am in the wrong area. I'm looking to get a tone like used by ORGY,Deadsy, and Spineshank. Anyone who is into them knows that the Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz is a huge part of the tone they have. Can anyone help me get that tone, or am I better off buying the pedal and running it into my HD500?
stumblinman
Have you checked customtone.com? That's where line 6 user post their patches to share. Also, is it for live or home use? Amp? Headphones? Monitors? Not my type of music so I won't be much help other than pointing you to the website. Good luck!
gunpointmetal
Spineshank has a very different tone from Deadsy/Orgy. I would think for Deadsy/Orgy you'ld want a digital distortion, max gain, with a front and rear EQ to make it clear....Half of Deadsy's tone, and Orgy's for that matter comes from just about every single guitar being doubled by a grainy synthesizer. papatrimble
The reason I brought up Spineshank was that they also used the same Boss Hyper Fuzz. I got a passable baseline tone last night running the buzzsaw and facial fuzz together. Having lots of trouble with the mellotron style leads, though. Might need MIDI fx for that... normwierdo
I achieved a tone much like Deadsy's with a Korg Pandora Mini, it's mostly a mixture of flanger, chorus, fuzz, and bass fuzz, mess around with those 4 effects and you'll acheive that "Crunchy/Grindy" effect that Deadsy has.
