jpp1jpp1
Hi, When I plug my headphones only left side is working. Headphone is a Sennheiser HD 205 that comes with a 1/4'' adapter. The adapter works ok, it has been tested in a TV. Plugging it halfway does't make both channel work, in fact noone sounds. Thx in advance
psarkissian
Does it cut off the speakers when you plug in the headphones?

fflbrgst
Does the plug (the male part of the adapter) have 3 conductors (tip, ring sleeve)?

Brazzy
Maybe the headphones out jack components need to be cleaned. If you have deoxit you could spray some on the phones jack and quickly run it in and out the headphones out jack. Maybe that'll help the connection. psarkissian
Pull the knobs off, make sure the nuts holding the controls in are snug (not overly tight). This maintains the integrity of the chassis ground, and keeps intermittent contacts from occurring. Since it cuts off the speakers, then that part of the circuit works. And the plug is a TRS, so now that points to an issue with the jack on the amp. Intermittent connection inside the jack itself. It will need to serviced by an authorized technician in your area, or returned to the place of purchase for other options.

The amplifier also arrived yesterday Even more, I tested them at a TV Set with the adapter and both sides worked. Probably my brother can give me another 1/8'' to 1/4'' to test but I'm starting to fear that the Spider phones output is broken. Or is that impossible? psarkissian
Could be the jack itself, a solder point, or something upstream in the circuit.

I didn't quite understand this, sorry English is not my native language, do you want me to return the amplifier or to check something on it? jpp1jpp1
I think I accidentally found the cause, the adapter is of the screw-on type and this time I set it barely attached/screwed and voila both sides working! If I screw it to the end only one side sounds. I guess this is the equivalent to halfway putting the regular adaptors. I also removed the control panel, blew a bit and attached it again. psarkissian
That would do it too. Bravo.
Brazzy
So simple yet elusive. I might have done that once. Glad ya found it.
