PBGas
So, I notice a wall wart 9vdc plug on the back of the Helix control. Uggh. Not what I was expecting. In any case, though, there would need to be power to run all of those beautiful scribble strips. What is the mv requirement for that connection? I have a Pedal Power digital so I'm hoping it isn't more than 500mv. If that works then I am golden as I'll use it to power my tuner, line buffer and Digitech drop pedal. TheRealZap
that is for future use... it does nothing now... the pedal is powered over a standard cat5 cable.
rd2rk
Zap - I'm sure you meant standard 3 prong AC cable?
rd2rk
Oops - he's talking about the controller - Never Mind!
Digital_Igloo
Right now, Helix Control only works with—and is powered by—Helix Rack, but we didn't want to paint ourselves into a corner. As TheRealZap said, both the DC In and USB jacks on Helix Control do nothing, although if you want to run extremely long CAT-5 cable lengths (TBD), you may have to power Helix Control via DC. Until then, ignore it.
PBGas
Well, as always, thanks Gents! This is even better news! Looking forward to my Rack and Control when they come in! Super excited!
