Redwirez cabs big box

Use the Helix application.

Select the spot where you want something to load. For me it's always location 001 because I keep a single, one-level-deep folder for IRs I find I like and just add new ones to this folder as I find more that I like. Then click import. On the dialog that opens, browse to where the IRs are and select the one you want to import. You can load more than one at once by selecting the first one and then shift-click the last one. The order they get loaded will be determined by how you see them in file selection dialog. I don't use drag and drop because I've had unpredictable results doing it that way. Maybe that's fixed in the just released 1.03 version of the Helix app, not sure.

Specifically for the Redwirez Big Box, there should be a folder named 48KHz-24bit a couple of levels in from the cabinet you want. Use those. You also may want to rename the IRs because if the name is too long, it will be cut off when you import them.

I noticed they fixed the folder drag and drop in the new 1.03 app.  After updating and doing a full reset I just dragged the whole IR folder I had setup into the app and everything loaded perfectly.  (Win 7 on an older Dell laptop).

You're right. Worked for me too. Much easier than the import button method.

Anybody knows why on helix it is not possible to get loaded?

Or how to load them?

Try to shorten the name. I have found that IRs can not be imported if the name is too long - the program crashes.

Also as you found out if the path to the file is too long - the program crashes (like: C:/bla/bla/../../../../some-cab-name-mic-position.wav)

I think this is a bug in the Helix application

Edit: Just read that that has been fixed. Haven't installed the new version yet.
