abinash_ihd
HI, I need to downtune my 6 stringer (currently in DropB )to Drop G, but really confused with the pitch value given. What value would be appropriate ?? Thank you :)
jandrio
dropD ---> dropG = minus seven semitones (or plus five) pitch shifter pitch value = -7 (or +5) ps i think the -7 setting will sound really bad.....

Giorgos02
hey man! i have checked your tones before you sir is a genius :) btw what would be the value -4 ? Thanks buddie! I really work hard on my tones! :)) Yes, as the other guys said, B to G would be -4. But in order to be able to enjoy this tuning with a pitch glide, I would suggest putting the mix to 100% of course and put some headphones on as well so you can't listen to your dry guitar. Or simply just play loud. Otherwise the result won't be pleasant. You have to note though that when you change your tuning with a Pitch Glide (especially Pod's Pitch Glide), the quality of your tone significantly drops. Pitch glide on distorted tones is messing up the overtones or something like that. So the result is kinda unnatural. So I would suggest that if you like this tuning, buy some new heavier strings, and set up your guitar at Drop G.

Thanks again for the help :) also will keep in mind regarding the tone, I use heavy gauge for downtuning .12-.54 D'addario. Also will keep an eye for the tone of yours ;)

abinash_ihd
what scale does your guitar have? umm I really have no idea but its a cheap DEAN (Vendetta) guitars... got it from the local music store here in India ( got it 25.5)
Giorgos02
what scale does your guitar have? ok so the most vendetta guitars I saw had 25,5 scale. So the strings you are using are fine. But if you want to set up your guitar in a Drop G tuning, you would need for the lowest string at least a 68 gauge.
