Indianrock2020
I see at 01:50 in this video that I've been using the parametric Q control exactly backwards. I've been trying to notch out offensive frequencies ( especially in crunchy patches ) but have been turning the Q counterclockwise most of the way thinking I was affecting a narrow band. Live and learn. I'm not sure the manual even touches this detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLkVhOp5FCY&feature=youtu.be Peter Hanmer does a great demo of using parametric here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ9v7SCCt_c&index=1&list=RDiJ9v7SCCt_c
pfsmith0
Many of the EQ settings are not obvious. That's why I measured them all and posted the response graphs here. Maybe they would be helpful to you.
Indianrock2020
Yes thanks, downloaded those last year. Awesome stuff. Somehow I just got the q adjustment backwards.

joel_brown
On a scale of 1 to 100% I'd say they're about 1% obvious.
jeremybnz
Peters videos helped me a TON! Was not intuitive at all, and to be honest I had no idea about how to EQ anything before I watched his vids!
BBD_123
MeAmBobbo's POD HD Guide is helpful too: http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/eq#effects Pfsmith's frequency analysis is featured prominently.
