Hey Gents.  Im using the helix into a small pa system.  I know nothing about studio moniters.  or any type of audio recording.  i dont think the helix sounds as good as it should.  kinda nasally in some patches.  I need cheap ideas of options to send the outputs.  right now im using the helix into a carvin rx800 powered mixer.  eq is is set flat and gain is pretty much at 0.  then into 2 phonic stage moniters.  Please help

I don't know the equipment you are using. My best idea for you is to take Helix to a Music store, and plug into some good FRFR speakers and or  a working and setup Mackie/Bose/ etc etc PA equipment and see if it sounds better.

If you mean on your mixer you have the gain turned all the way down, on the Helix in global settings ins/outs you should change the xlr or 1/4" (which ever you are using) output level from line to instrument. Similar on our mixer, it is expecting mic level, so line is probably pushing the input a bit hard and it may be compressing and slightly distorting
