Pacohelix
Hey guys. I havent seen too much info on pickup changes on these Variax guitars. Well. I had a Seymour Duncan JB in my workshop and this morning I tackled it. Its just like any other guitar except the wires go into a board. not to the pots. So I desoldered the green wire which I'm assuming is the hot wire. Then desoldered the black and shield wire. Its pretty easy the wires go into small holes and you use the tip of your iron from the backside and when it heats up/melts pull the wire right out. On the Duncan I put in the black wire is hot and the green goes with the Ground. solder back into those holes and solder the red and white together and done. It sounds great. cruisinon2
Blasphemy! No user serviceable parts inside. "Authorized" access only...;) Well done...mere mortals are capable after all. Look at that.
blessed1
Does anyone have 2 original JTV 69 single coil pickups in good working condition that you want to get rid of?
