FacemanJoe
Hi all, I'm curious to know the best delay model (and placement in chain) that will give the loudest delay repeats. I've done some experimenting but still think there is more than what I'm getting. I'm after bold repeats that really stay present in the mix during the feedback rolloff. Thanks all! phil_m
The mix at 50% will give you repeats at the same level as the dry signal. Or at least that's the point where the repeats will be the loudest compared to the dry signal. Once you go past 50%, you start to reduce the dry level. So if you do this, you might need to compensate the overall level of the block by increasing the level parameter.
bsd512
And for more delay clarity, you can also run the delay in parallel to the reverb block so that the delays aren't 'reverb'd but take their own separate path to the output without the reverb processing applied to them. tagmusenmagnus1
And you might want to try using a low cut on the repeats so that they don't mud as much on top og the actual tone and still being very present.
FacemanJoe
Thanks all. Much appreciated. I'm also running mono, so I'm going to try stereo to see if that helps. Joe
RRMark
Can also stick a compressor after the delay
