Hi guys,

Running my ProX into a Rocktron Velocity 300 with an Orange 2x12. Had been using it for fx only with an HK Tubemeister but after a couple issues decided to go Pod only route. Got some pretty good sounds but any tips on smoothing out tones would be much appreciated. Specifically, where are you guys puuting eq in the chain and roughly how are you setting it? Anyone running a similar rig? Cheers guys.

I had been running the Velocity 100 to a 2 x 12 Orange (closed back) before switching to FRFR.

Had never problems, dialing in good fat sounding tones, but a guitar cab is still a restriction in tone possibilities.

As an advice I would recommend to use just the amp distortions, check presence and the cab RES DEPs and always put a Tube Sreamer at low drive before the amp.

Thanks guys - I think although I like a mid-rangey tone, the cab seems to accentuate that, ran same rig into Marshall 4x12 at rehearsal and it sounded pretty much the way I would want. Guess I meed to tweak the patches a little more. As far as smoothing things out, its all a little in your face currently, though again it may just require a little ear adjustment on my part to make it work
