MitchellBergen
This is the third G10 that I have tried. It works as expected for the first few days and then the transmitter will constantly flash red after a single yellow then green flash. Video attached. Anybody else having this problem and perhaps a solution? Thanks.
silverhead
Have you installed the latest firmware update?
MitchellBergen
Yes, the latest firmware has been installed. After speaking with Line 6 and Sweetwater, I've decided to return all my G10 units. Thanks.
leehend
I just had the same problem with my third G10. The first two had the same problem and Sweetwater replaced them. I am using active basses, and after read the problems others are having there seems to be some problems with active instruments.
MusicLaw
Just so everyone knows... The first three posts in this thread were BEFORE, the latest firmware revisions were released in September 2016! The current version firmware is 1.04.
jmamer
Apparently un resolved. I've updated firmware to 1.04 and got the same symptom. The transmitter (as far as I can tell) charges O.K. it just doesn't flash the right color (red instead of green). Will try extended test to see if it really fully charges. MusicLaw
If still no good, open a Support Ticket with Line 6.
cscotgoodwin831
Had this happen only after I started using a cheaper, short usb power supply cable. Switched a higher quality cable that came with a gaming headset and the red light stops. Maybe it means that it can't send enough current to adequately charge the transmitter? Thanks for posting your resolution. As you have discovered, not all USB cables are equal! The G10 Transmitter's charging current need is very low. I tested mine when I first got them and it was well below the recommendation of a using a standard USB 5v 1Amp charger. If I recollect correctly, the charging current was around 350 milliamps. As a result, I also use any one of several USB rechargeable lithium battery packs with my G10 system and have not had any problems charging, nor powering the receiver base unit. The accessory Line 6 G10 USB Charging Cable is a very handy accessory!
