WickedFinger
I did not know Yamaha bought Lin6. Nice review of the Helix, I enjoyed it, maybe everyone has seen it but I just ran across it. http://tonereport.com/blogs/tone-tips/line-6-and-yamahas-absolutely-incredible-collaboration-the-helix
phil_m
It's a good review, although, even though Line 6 is owned by Yamaha, it's not really correct to call the Helix a Yamaha/Line 6 collaboration. The modeling, sound design, etc. is all Line 6. From what I understand the only part the Yamaha played was that Line 6 was able to "borrow" of their engineers at one point for help with some of the GUI stuff. glideman
Yep... Line 6 had Helix in the works long before Yamaha showed up to the party...

Money this is the main contribute of Yamaha. With the money you can work on a project 4 years or more before you begin to recover your investment. It's a bet. Now they are enjoying the results of their work. I think they are selling a lot of items yet.
