twoputt5
I have spider iv HD150 & 4x12 cabinets. Would love to trade in for spider V. Looking forward to new effects & models. Looks like it's more user friendly. Really like wireless feature. Why no spider V head?
joestides
Bump... I'd be interested in buying a spider v head too, if it ever came out.
BillBee
If you look at the history of the Spiders I - IV they all had a head/cab version come out. So I would tend to believe that the V would have one as well.
Guest Hux
It would be great with a Spider V head, for band use. At home I already got the V60, and love it
briansteedman
Here's the problem folks. The Spider IV was a guitar amp. It was meant to be used with mid-range guitar speakers. The Spider V combos are all full-range systems, and making a head would require a special full-range cabinet or essentially, hooking it to PA speakers. I mean, if that's your thing, that's cool. I prefer to just keep retubing my Spider Valve MKII HD100. Just my .
BillBee
Not really that true Brian. Many of the modelers are used for both FRFR and amp/cab systems. The units are that flexible.

Guest Hux
Any one figured out if the modeling and effects are the same as in the SPider V combos, or if they've added any extra functionality?
gtrman100
It sounds like the modeling and effects are the same as the combos. The only difference is that the 4x12 is a regular cabinet, and the tweeter is in the head with the 2 stereo speakers. Pretty ingenious... ADBrown
Any one figured out if the modeling and effects are the same as in the SPider V combos, or if they've added any extra functionality? Exact same modeling and effects are found in all Spider V's; combos and now the head version.
