But is there a way to change its color from the default RED to some other color. If not, I'm returning this piece of crap. Following on from the reply above, also consult the “Customizing a Snapshot Footswitch Name & Color” and “Command Centre” sections of the current Owner’s Manual for your product, for more colour options.
