BlueViolince
Does anyone else get a pop from exiting tuner mode? I get it every time, at varying volumes. If my delay is on, it will echo, which leads me to believe it's switched at the input. Are there workarounds to avoid it, for anyone who's experienced this? silverhead
I don't. I happen to be sitting at my Helix right now and have just tested it with various presets, from clean to hi-gain. In particular, I thought I might hear it with factor preset 2D German Ubersonic, but no. Does it happen with all presets or just some? Does it go away if you put a noise gate at the beginning of the path?

On my high-gain tones where I have a hard gate, both with the Helix tuner and my external Polytune.
jbuhajla
Does it pop if you turn your volume pot on your guitar all the way down before switching off the tuner? If you are getting noise through your pickups, it may be enough to open a noise gate and hit your high gain amp model, creating a pop. If that's the case, you may need the gate on the input signal of the preset, as well as a hard gate after your amp model or cab.
BlueViolince
I've tried turning my volume down as well, but it really sounds more like an unbuffered bypass being engaged. I have the Helix in the efffect loop of my preamp, and I have to turn down the volume on the preamp to avoid the pop.
