kneave 1 Posted November 25, 2017 Howdo, I've recently purchased a Surface Book (1st gen) and I'm getting really garbled audio from the output of my UX2. I last saw this when I tried to connect to my PC via a powered USB hub and could only get it to work if I connect direct. As the USB ports connect to the mainboard via the keyboard connected I'm starting to think they are behind a hub, if so there is no fix... Has anyone had any success running a UX2 with a Surface Book please? If so could you let me know the trick to getting it working, if not put me out of my misery! Thanks,Keegan
kneave 1 Posted December 18, 2017 Don't suppose anyone can confirm or deny that this should work with a Surface Book please? I'm starting to assume not but it would be nice if anyone can confirm it please. Thanks, Keegan
fflbrgst 1,852 Posted December 19, 2017 If you had the same problem with a powered hub, then I would guess you are correct in that the hub connection just does not work with the UX2 (BTW, I have heard the same for other audio interfaces, too.)

If you can't get it to work at all, this link about a Mac update that was causing trouble with the set up on Mac was causing may help. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/macos-high-sierra-1013-driver-installation-change-r879
kneave 1 Posted January 4, 2018 dmott92: Looks like it, aye. Thanks for comfirming you see the same on your Book at least. Gaz_Ham: Thanks for that link but the Surface Book is Windows based so likely not applicable.
ZackAhoj 0 Posted February 12, 2019 Same issue here. Garbled sound through the "docking station" as through connecting directly (Surface Book II). On my last computer, changing the "Default Format" in the sound settings (Advanced tab) to one of the other options helped, but there are only 2 options left instead of 4 and it doesn't seem to be the root cause anyway. It'd be great to know if there is ANY way to resolve this...
matsbror 0 Posted May 19, 2019 I just found this thread, and I wonder too if someone has gotten it to work on a surface book.
elsni 0 Posted September 12, 2019 I try to get my old TonePort UX1 to work on a Surface Book II. Had no luck so far with Driver 4.2.7.7. Sound is scrambled if it works at all. Any ideas?
Gaz_Ham 22 Posted September 12, 2019 You could always try older drivers or running in windows compatibility mode.
