Blocks in snapshot not holding unique parameters

Hi,

I’ve an existing preset and playing around with the never-ending tweaking and volume output. I added a block via the Editor (2.21). When I adjust a parameter, all snapshots receive that value. This happens with existing blocks as well. I slide a volume down on one snapshot, switch to another snapshot and it has the same value.

The only item that does work is the bypass.

It is a tough topic to search for and didn’t find any other topics but I must be missing something right in front of me.

Yes it will do that until you "control" that parameter with snapshots (parameter in brackets). Once you are controlling that parameter in snapshots, then you can save a value per snapshot. Otherwise it will be "global" to the preset.

Did you check the User Manual?

You have to push the knob when making initial adjustment if you want that adjustment to be unique to that Snapshot. You will see brackets appear around the parameter value. After that, you don't have to push the knob on any of the Snapshots. Don't forget to Save.

In order for values of parameters to be recalled with snapshots, they have to be assigned to a controller. If you don't want real-time control of parameters (with an expression pedal, footswitch, or MIDI CC), you can assign those parameters to a Snapshot Controller. On the unit itself, just push and turn the knob under the parameter. You'll see brackets appear around the parameter, and it will turn white. It's now assigned to Snapshot Controller. In HX Edit, you can simply right click on the parameter and select "Snapshot Controller" from the list of available controllers.
