zachjs
My Windows 10 did a brief update last night and I discover today that my XLR microphone, which is connected to my computer through my UX2, is producing either nothing at all or very loud static. Anyone else having issues?
Gaz_Ham
Have you tried running line6 monkey and updating your drivers?
zachjs
I have, everything save for Monkey itself is completely up to date, and for whatever reason I can't seem to update Monkey to the latest version. Regardless I've been using the same drivers and the same microphone setup with the UX2 for a number of months now with no issues, so I'm convinced the problem was introduced with this latest Windows update. If anyone else is still able to use their XLR microphone through their UX2 please let me know.
Triryche
I would try uninstalling the drivers and PF, download the newest Monkey from the downloads page, and then run the newest Monkey.
zachjs
No go on that as well, same result.
Triryche
Have you tested the mic on another setup?
zachjs
Have you tested the mic on another setup? Just tested my UX2 on my brother's system and still the same result. The drivers install fine and the needles bounce as they normally would, but there's no output through headphones plugged directly into the UX2 itself, and I know the headphones are not at fault because they work with other devices. Gaz_Ham
Have you tried uninstalling the Windows update? I don't update my pc, for fear of things going wrong
zachjs
Have you tried uninstalling the Windows update? I don't update my pc, for fear of things going wrong I actually just installed the creators update in the hope that it would somehow fix my issue, no luck their either. I also just installed and tested the UX2 on a Mac running Sierra, same thing; the needles move, but no audio through the headphone jack, regardless of what the output levels are on the knobs. I'm thinking at this point that my UX2 is fried.
