brettchinery
Hi all - bit of a noob question - am just wondering how everyone uses the z input impedance setting Is auto the best choice (seems to be normally 1 m unless a fuzz is first in line) or do you actually change the setting for different patches or to change the sound? Cheers in advance
DunedinDragon
I have over 60 different patches and I've never used anything other than Auto. I figure at best it may make some tiny nuanced difference, but there are so many other elements in the signal chain that make HUGE differences it doesn't seem worth the bother. jbuhajla
Auto for me. I don't really use the fuzzes.

Cheers in advance There is a very vocal contingent of fuzz users who don't like what the "auto-z" setting does to their tone when the fuzz is turned off... most of those guys will have the same footswitch that's assigned to the fuzz toggle the impedance setting to 1M when the fuzz is bypassed, and then back to "auto" when the fuzz is active. YMMV... There are a couple of other threads floating around where this is debated at length.
dragonfet
1 Meg. I'm going wireless into the AUX input, and should that fail I and I have to use a cable I want my sound to stay the same.
