FunkyMan66
When trying to record audio through my POD HD500 via USB to my computer I am only getting loud crackling noises - so loud it hurts my ears. I am using my headphones plugged into the back of the pod for output. What can I do? I'm pretty sure the driver is installed properly
silverhead
Check your recording program and make sure that the audio setup is configured to use the HD500X and its ASIO driver.

FunkyMan66
I was able to change the settings in Ableton Live to ASIO instead of MME and I am no longer getting the clicking noises but, but apparently now I am getting a moderately low db signal as input to the PC. Any way to fix this?
FunkyMan66
Anything that is sent to PC is low strength while anything sent from PC to monitors is too high
silverhead
Here's a snip from the manual that may be relevant: Note that the type of audio signal fed to the Record Sends is controlled by the Output Mode setting found in the POD HD500 Setup:Outputs screen. For most USB recording situations, you’ll likely want to set this to “Studio/Direct.” Please see “Page 4, Setup: Output Options” on page 2•8 for more info.
