musikale76
Hello, I have a problem, I can not update the Firmware from 2.54 to 2.60. Did it happen to someone? I bought the used Helix yesterday and the old owner has already deleted the product line6 from his account. I recorded the Helix on my account .. how can I do? thank you all
phil_m
The first step is try a different USB port and/or USB cable. That seems to help most people in this situation.
musikale76
already done, but not solved the problem. I also tried to start the Updater as an administrator .. but nothing to do

phil_m
Try holding down footswitches 6 & 12 (the two right-most switches) while powering the Helix up. That will force it to go into Update Mode. Then run Updater after doing that.
codamedia
I see in the video you are using the auto installer from online. It is possible that your machine has cached a corrupted copy of the installer. Down the update file separately, then run the installer choosing a local file. bigcraigie_1
I've had issues like this before. I got round it by using a USB 2 port on my laptop and running the updater as an administrator.(I'm a Windows 10 user). My helix has always worked flawlessly in a USB 3 port when used as an audio interface, however any updates and when using Helix Edit, I need to revert to USB 2 otherwise I get connection dropouts. musikale76
Thank you all for the support. Last night I finally resolved. The problem was that it did not load the file from the server, so it went looking for local (but it was not present). So I put the file in the local string and started the update .. thank you very much. Ale

It's stuff like this that scares the crap out of me. I can't figure out the reason why a different cable or USB slot would be the cause of a software update failure. I had to do this song and dance every time I updated a POD HD Desktop until one day it finally wouldn't come out of "Update Flash" mode. So far no issues with the Helix, but it's always in the back of my mind. Still, I do appreciate how well Line 6 is supporting their product.
