MJL19
Hi all, I can see there are a few posts about doing this via a CCK, but my thoughts are that using the XLR or 1/4” out would work best for recording into GarageBand with the wet Helix presets. That being the case I’m looking at the Focusrite iTrack Solo Lightning and iTrack One interfaces. Anyone have any experience of these and any insight/recommendations? matthewklein
I don't see any advantage to using an additional interface. Plugging the Helix in directly via a CCK works very well and allows you to do things like recording both the wet signal as well as a dry one for reamping.
soundog
Yeah, use a CCK. And get the Apple one that also supplies power via Lightning. Your signal will remain in the pristine digital domain; using the XLR or 1/4" outs would result in an additional D/A and A/D conversion. beascott
I am using the Focusrite iTrack Dock into the Auria DAW on the iPad Pro. Auria is inexpensive and powerful.
zolko60
You guys are kidding me??? Why not ask the question: What is the best pad for Helix interface? Probably IPad Pro with CCK ;)
