jb76239 0 Posted December 27, 2013 I'm having the same (or similar) problem.I just installed Podfarm 2.5 on my new laptop, for use with my old UX1. Everything installs ok, but when I open Pod Farm, it notes that "Podfarm 2 has found a valid liscence on your UX, but you need to run the Line 6 Liscence Manager to allow Pod Farm 2 to run on this computer with your UX1..."When I run the Liscence Manager and scan for devices, only "My Computer" is listed. No UX1.

Finder1976 3 Posted December 27, 2013 I've got the same Problem with my UX2 on my new PC with Windows 8.1. The License Manager doesn't detect the UX2.
BigChas52 2,546 Posted December 27, 2013 Please make sure that you have registered your devices on the Line 6 web site, and that you are licensed for the version of POD Farm that you are trying to run. POD Farm and POD Farm 2 licenses are not the same.
tehpantz 0 Posted December 28, 2013 I have the same exact problem. I purchased my Line 6 Pod Studio UX1 recently and registered it online with my account but when I try to use the POD Farm 2.5 software that came with it, it says I don't have a license. I figured since the device came with the software it would have a license key of some sort as well.

Chriscassi13 2 Posted December 28, 2013 I heard comparability mode on PC would do the trick, but that leaves us Mac users still with the problem. I have stuff I would like to record ASAP and this is making me regret my purchase.
Finder1976 3 Posted December 29, 2013 Yes, I have solved the problem in Windows 8.1 via the compatible mode for License Manager. I set this one on Win 7 up and additionally the admin mode too. And then - works! It detects the UX2 now.

I also am unsure of what you guys mean when you say that you have solved the problem in Windows 8.1 via the compatible mode for License Manager? What is compatibility mode? roballen1981 0 Posted February 2, 2014 Having the same problem with my Pod UX1 (same problem also applies with my old Guitar Port out of interest) with Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64. The equipment works fine on my x64 laptop, but the machine that I NEED it to work on, it won't. Windows 7 sees the device, but it's like it's hidden from PF and Gears' view. indicasativadan 0 Posted June 18, 2015 looks like line6 is only interested in selling new kit it's what happens when an initially successful firm does well with a product, and it's eyes grow too big for its stomach looks like lack of solution from them is their answer don't expect this to pass moderators
gonzobello 0 Posted September 16, 2020 I have the same problem. I just buy UX1 and I can't work in my MacBook Air. It doesn't appear in License Manager and my computer doesn't recognize it. If the problems stay I need to send back the UX1.
