import hx fx presets into hx stomp?

...shouldn´t this be possible now...? when i try, i get an error 8701 - preset translation not supported, dsp bock constraint exceeded...? propably due to too many blocks in the preset...is there any way, i could open it in hx edit without any unit connected, and reduce number of blocks...?

No there's not. You have to have a device connected to view anything in HX Edit. You COULD do it with Helix Native if you purchased that. 

 

To transfer the presets to the Stomp you will need to reduce your block count and save that preset, then import it to the Stomp. This isn't necessarily as hard as it sounds even without Native. Simply edit it down to six blocks while the HX FX is connected, and then save that preset to your PC. Then unplug HX FX, plug in HX Stomp, and import that preset.

I had the big flgaship Helix unit w lots of stomp buttons and screens for the effect, now I downsized to the HX stomp.

 

I'm trying to put the preset I downloaded and had imported to the big Helix but I'm getting the same error msg that you got "8701 - preset translation not supported, dsp bock constraint exceeded"

 

I don't understand what Kilrahi means by using the HX FX changes in blocks first than importing the preset to the HX Stomp ( 3 buttons ).

 

* DOES this mean you can't import presets that you downloaded and import them onto the HX Stomp via the USB cable/HX Edit software??

You can import some Helix presets into the Stomp, but they have to meet the requirements for the Stomp. They can only use one processor path, and they have to contain six or fewer blocks (this will be updated to 8 in the 3.0 update).
