Euripide
HX Edit 2.82 bug with Customizing a Footswitch Label in command center. Cannot name more than one footswitch. I have to go on the Helix Floor directly to name them. Is it a known bug? I haven’t seen anything about this in the forum. thanks in advance. rd2rk
Sorry, could not duplicate your problem, assigned three, named three. Is the Helix FW also 2.82?
Euripide
Both the Helix Floor and HX Edit updated to 2.82. It could be that my OS is Windows 7. I will reboot my Pc and try again.
Euripide
Reboot PC, still the same problem. Looks like a Windows 7 problem...

While I suppose it's possible that using an antique OS could cause a problem, I don't think it likely, as LOTS of people are still on W7. Euripide
Open a ticket and the solution was easy, my mistake: If you just click "Done" this will not save the name into the footswitch parameter. You have to press ENTER with each submission.

You have to press ENTER with each submission. Sometimes what a programmer thinks is intuitive (guilty!) is anything but to a user. In HX Edit, if you change the name of a preset, you don't have to hit Return, or save the preset, just moving to another preset saves the new name! I hope that little things like this get passed up the chain.....consistency in a UI is important to a user's overall experience.
danaswright
Thanks for this post. I kept thinking that clicking off the field would save the name but it didn't. Never thought to hit the Enter button.
