Im looking to possible have a go to guitar I have a strat so I want to put a humbucker in bridege.2, but if you have a prs ce 24 or a hss strat please share your thougts.Any suggestion im getting close but I want that nice clean a bit broken strat then a good crunch.Im getting close belive it or not with the amp to me that wasnt so obvious it was the amp modeled after the prs.Looking for good delay setting reverb I want the chime but just a full sound lead a tad thicker than gilmour. soundog Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Gilmour used a lot of good analog gear, so getting a tone that's close can be challenging with amp sims. http://www.gilmourish.com/?page_id=71 You may want to try some Helix blocks before your amp, like an LA compressor, and a mellow distortion (like Teemah, Minotaur) turned down. Push your pickup output a bit before hitting the amp. And don't worry too much about having to use bridge position only .... try other switch positions (with volume/tone knobs) to get the tone you're after. amsdenj Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Try using Heir Apparent very early in your signal chain as a tone shaper for you guitar.
