Original Helix Power Cable

I ended up with an extra IEC power cable last time I played a gig. I was hoping someone could provide a picture or description of any identifiable characteristics of the original IEC cable the Helix ships with, so I can keep the original and return the other (I realise they are functionally identical, I'm just very particular about this sort of thing)

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

From a particular weirdo who understands your particularity, here's some help :)

LOL - I love it....

From the other point of view. I lost my original cable the first day I used the Helix live.

I buy these things for $0.50 cents each at thrift stores and keep a few on hand at all times. Long ones, short ones, multi-color ones, braided ones, etc... etc...

Just keep the extra as a spare... from experience, you will need it some day :)

Haha... Never come to my studio... I almost always throw new IEC cable into the bin where I keep all of them. I just figure the ones that I have out and unwrapped work just as well.

My wife had a friend in college who would number their socks when they got a new package because they were convinced that the way they came paired up in the package was The was the way they were meant to be.

LOL... My first college roommate did the exact same thing, and even *I* thought he was weird for it, and that's saying something. Maybe your wife and I have a mutual friend...

Numbering would be no help to me. I need electronic trackers on my socks as they constantly disappear into the void. My friends report the same. Somewhere there is an alternate universe that reeks of bromhidrosis ("I ain't lyin'" - Zappa).

Thanks! Although it appears that neither of the two match that... Perhaps there's a lesson to be learned here.

I'm 60% sure I know which one was the original so I'll return the other and try not to let it keep me up at night.

Thanks again for your help and understanding!

Haha, I had a feeling that might happen! That cable is 100% for sure the one that came with my Helix, but I've noticed this before on other hardware that use those types of cables. Even the OEM vendors seem to source from a variety of places. If it's long enough and it works, it's definitely not worth losing sleep over :)
