spjunkie
I have reverb IRs I use in reason, can you use accoustic space IRs in HX stomp? I assuming the intent is to model cabinets.
DunedinDragon
Helix only supports cabinet IRs.
Schmalle
IRs in the Helix are max 2048 samples of anything. Which means the sample can be max 2048/48000kHz = 43ms long.

Furthermore, if it could be done you wouldn’t see so many threads about more/better reverb in Helix on this forum.

Generally agreed, but some use IRs to simulate the body of an acoustic guitar. Those IRs are as short as those of cabinets. Also capturing dialed in EQ of your favourite console channel strip, the JHS Color Box etc comes to mind.

Damn, yes they do and I actually have quite a few, but the point I was attempting to get across was reverb IRs are not going to work because that was what the OP asked about. Some days are like that.
spjunkie
Thanks folks! you answered what I already assumed. I had read other threads concerning IR size and sample rates. Now I'm wondering if there is something on the market though that can do accoustic IRs. I'm thinking besides software, nothing hardware based is reality yet. If you are wanting specific acoustic impulses you may find what you need by checking out some of the usual IR supply companies, such as 3 Sigma Audio, Ownhammer et al. There are even some freebies around, IIRC, some available from Helix beta tester and forum member Peter Hamm. Google for them. See link below. Or for a little science, check out this: http://acousticir.free.fr/spip.php?article136&var_mode=calcul Edited September 17, 2020 by datacommando Link added
