The full factory reset may be a better option for you - provided you know you can back-up and restore any presets you have made.

Artist Presets

IMPORTANT! Because we never want to overwrite your own presets, upgrading to 3.0 does NOT automatically make these presets visible; you will need to manually restore them. Restoring factory setlists and presets will completely overwrite your own, so make sure they're backed up first!

TIP: With Helix Floor/Rack/LT/Native, if you want to keep both your presets and the latest factory presets, back up your custom presets as setlists and after the procedure below, drag your setlists onto unused setlist locations.

  1. Make sure you've backed up your presets and turn off Helix/HX.
  2. Perform the following procedure:
    • Helix Floor/LT: While holding footswitches 7 and 8 (two leftmost switches on the bottom row), turn on Helix Floor/LT. Wait for "Will restore..." to appear and let go
    • Helix Rack/Control: While holding knobs 3 and 4 (two middle knobs below the screen), turn on Helix Rack. Wait for "Will restore..." to appear and let go
    • Helix Native: Click the gear icon in the lower left corner, click the Presets/IRs tab, and click "Restore Factory Setlists"

Why are you duplicating the thread - I gave you the exact same information, as posted by “silverhead” in the post above, over 3 hours ago in your original thread starter. Frankly, I’m baffled as to which bit of this you don’t understand, because in the other thread you mention - “and re-start - powerup with 7&8 depressed does state a reload”. Not necessary - The Artists Presets just need to be loaded in using HX Edit. You will not see the Artists name, but you will see whatever they named that preset in the slot number shown in the list.

Has any one else had success? Yes.

I imported the new presets, but some are missing. For example 17a. I am using a Helix LT. Are the missing presets due to differences in models? I know the artist for 17a uses the standard Helix. This is the first time I upgraded and imported setlists, so it’s all new to me.

Hi,

Not sure why you can’t see 17A because those preset are listed as:

The FACTORY 1 setlist for Helix Floor, Helix Rack, and Helix LT contains new Artist Presets (13B ~ 27C).

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Not sure what’s going on. I imported the setlist again and allowed the LT to rebuild. I’d say about half of the new presets are not there. See my attached photo.

Hi,

Oh, that is very curious. First thing to do is ensure that the version of HX Edit is v3.0.then reload your original backup that you made before updating the firmware. That will put your original Global settings back - updates usually flush them out. Then use HX Edit to reload the Artists presets. It may just a glitch and if all else fails you can re-flash the firmware.

Here are the optional reset procedures which may help blow the bugs out of the hardware. Hope this helps.

Yep, that did the trick. I restored the LT to factory then imported the new presets into the Factory 1 and 2 folders. Now just have to reimport my personal presets.

Thanks!
