MarcoKmz
I'm having random problems with the display of my Hx Effects. One of the displays (the 6th button, bottom right, close to the TAP/tuner) does not function randomly. I turn the unit off and on and sometimes it works other times it does not. I've tried to do a factory reset and installed firmware 3.10. None of these actions solved the problem. Any other suggestion ? Thanks a lot. MarcoKmz
Hi, rd2rk, thanks but the switch is working all the time. Is the display that isn't working randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not ...
rd2rk
Contact support. You may have a bad display. RANDOM = No way to reliably troubleshoot, ESPECIALLY online. As I have not seen this reported here by anyone other than you, odds are the problem is YOUR HXFX. If I'm wrong, I'm sure that someone else will chime in sooner or later. Meanwhile, contact support. PierM
That's why I keep couple of scribble strips replacement in my toolbox lol...(been there, done that) . Jokes apart, contact support. It's hardware related and isnt fixable UI side.

PierM
If you are out of warranty and you have some bit of experience with electronics, it's an easy fix. You can find the part here: https://britishaudio.com/collections/line-6-parts/products/line-6-helix-effects-footswitch-lcd-display 1
MarcoKmz
Wow, thanks. Are you pretty sure that replacing the display would fix the problem ? Have you already done this fix ?

Did that twice on my old Helix Floor to fix two scribble strips with same symptoms. (scribble flashing randomly and/or not displaying any data) Before to do that, just contact support and see what they says. I did on my own because Im good with electronics and that was way quicker and cheaper than shipping the unit and wait for the fix.
MarcoKmz
Thanks, Support told me only to reinstall firmware. Thing that I've done yesterday without any success. I think I'd better send it to a service center. I tend to lose some screws when I try to do things like these :-) Saw a video of a guy doing it and it takes some practice ... Thanks a lot again for your support. I saw you live in Italy. I live in Trentino. How about you ?
