Amp channel switching problem in Helix LT

I have an Orange Rocker 32 Stereo amp and the amp channel switching (clean/dirty) doesn't seem to work in the Helix. Pretty sure I've got the routine right. Only tried a TS cable so far. Anyone else tried with TRS cable? (don't have one here at the moment)

It might be due what system your amp uses for switching - some use a method of shorting, others can be more complex.

Check this video and see if it assists.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

or my Orange amp doesn't allow it

Line 6 have said previously that the channel switching function cannot be guaranteed to work with every model of amp - too many variables I guess.

Let's hope a new TRS cable does the job, or you will have to use the one that Orange recommend for the amp.

Technology, eh?

I bought an Orange switch just in case, but yes, I hope it does work or I'll be tap-dancing like Fred Astaire!

Questions out of curiosity:

1. Does the channel change to Clean when OD is selected on the amp and you plug a the cable only in the amp?

2. Does the channel change from Clean to OD when the cable connects the amp and the Helix?

3. Does plugging in the cable increase audible hum?
