LuckyBystander
I'm positive this question has been asked/answered before but I'm not sure I'm understanding the answer. I just upgraded my firmware too the latest version. I backed up all my previous presets (there were the Factory 1 and Factory 2 lists, and my User 1 and User 2 lists) on my computer. I then did a factory reset, which--due to the new firmware--gives me new presets, many of which I think I like. But the downside, of course, is that my User 1 and User 2 presets are now gone (blank). Now, at this point, I can of course restore all my backup presets. This would replace all the new presets (that had come with the firmware update) and give me back what I previously had--my previous Factory 1 and Factory 2 lists, plus my User 1 and User 2 lists. But I lose the new Factory presets. What I really want to do is restore just my User 1 and User 2 preset lists. But I don't know how to do this. I have my computer plugged into my Helix, I have HX Edit open, and . . . then what? I know I can restore individual presets one by one, but that would take a long time. Is there a way to restore all my User 1 and User 2 set of presets in one go? Thanks so much in advance! And apologies for the dumb question. silverhead
Under the HX Edit File menu select Restore Backup. During that procedure you will be presented with a list of check boxes to indicate which items you want to restore. Expand the Presets item using the arrow to the right of the word Presets, then de-select all setlists you do not want to restore, leaving only User1 and User2 selected. Of course you can also de-select any other items you do not want to restore (Global Settings, IRs, etc.). 1

Hi, In addition to the advice given in the above reply from "Silverhead", you might find it useful to click on the "QuestionMark" icon in the lower left of the HX Edit window and select "Pilot's Guide" which is an Adobe acrobat PDF and handy reference to all the features of your HX Edit app. Hope this helps/makes sense.
DunedinDragon
Another consideration which might save you a lot of time when upgrading is you can export individual presets or individual setlists to your hard drive BEFORE you start an upgrade so you can recall them as needed.
