andysimmons
Hello Helix hive-mind. Have a feeling the answer is "no" and feel like I've finally found something my LT can't solve :) I want to use my LT with a 1 amp using 4cm and a second amp just going into the front. However the fx loop negates the ability to use the send/returns as an additional output for second amp. Is there any hidden wizardry that can help me overcome this? cheers. A. DunedinDragon
It's not clear what you're trying to accomplish. If you go to a second amp that's going direct to the front without some form of IR it won't contain any speaker characteristics and not be very close to your 4CM rig. You could certain go direct to the FOH with a direct out from the XLR with a Helix cab model, but again it might be very different than your stage sound from the 4cm unit. There's actually a lot of choices if you're not compulsive about trying to send the stage sound from you 4cm amp which is pretty much impossible. andysimmons
You’re right I haven’t explained well enough. basically I have a pure digital preset where path one is split frequency with the lows going to path 1b and into to a bass amp and the rest going to path two for Guitar processing. for a live version of the preset I still wanted to split the signal by frequency with the lows into a bass amp, and also go into a tube amp using 4CM and use midi to change its channels. Hope that clarifies!

Still not really clear, but unless you're using both FX loops for stereo which would be pointless unless your 4cm amp is stereo, just put the SEND from the unused FX Loop (set to INST) at the end of path 1b. Either set the Output of 1b to an unused Ouput or set the DRY THRU on the SEND to-120db.

Thanks man, something like this? send2 block at end of bass effects chain:

Hi, This is happening more and more, and is increasingly irritating. It appears to be fairly obvious how to attach a .hlx file to a post. If this is user error, fine, they need to take more care - if not then the site admin needs to fix the server settings.

rd2rk
IDK why that would be a problem, but attached is an example preset. andysimmons.hlx
andysimmons
So if I add that send block at the end of the bass chain (path 1a) then I don't need to set send1/2 at the output block, the option for which is greyed out because of the FX loop for the 4CM set up on path 2a/b. Thanks for the example! rd2rk
You don't need to split out the end of Path 1b because by setting the SEND 2 Dry Output Parameter to -120db you're essentially shunting the entire bass path signal to the SEND 2 jack and no signal passes through the block, which is why I set up my example like I did. It doesn't hurt to split it out as you've done, it's just unnecessary as there will be no signal past the SEND 2 block to the Path 1b Output.
