joesuspense
I recently updated to 3.71 and just noticed that the ratchet delay no longer functions how it used to. On all my presets, and new created ones, engaging the ratchet results in about 8 delays that drop in pitch each time. I don't know what version this started at. I did a factory reset and tried again from scratch and had the same result. Has anybody else seen this?
joesuspense
It turns out this is a known issue, for anybody else experiencing this. I opened a case with L6 and they said it will be addressed in a future update. Thanks! 1

gk001
Thanks, I was about to post on this but found your post, thanks for confirming it’s a known bug
jpmulley
I am experiencing this too, which is a major bummer because I use this effect all the time as part of my default preset. I'll probably downgrade until it's fixed. With that said, though, I also love this descending pitch effect! I'd love to see it stay as an option. Way more useful than the Pitch Echo. (For me, that is.)
duc1000
I noticed the same issue. I also did a factory reset but I still get this descending pitch thing. Did line 6 fix the problem? I miss the old ratchet. Thanks

Thanks Hi, This issue was fixed in the v3.71 Firmware update back on January 10, 2024 that was entirely bug fixes, including the Tessellator and Glitch delay issue. 3.71—Delay > Tesselator could exhibit unexpected behavior in 3.70—FIXED 3.71—Adjusting the Delay > Glitch Delay block's Time parameter could sometimes result in muted audio or other unexpected audio behavior—FIXED Hope this helps/makes sense. JasonHTX
Hi, Nope. It doesn't make sense. The OP said they updated to 3.71 and THEN experienced the issues. I'm having the same probs. I have 3.71 as well. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update. Tessalator works fine, but Ratchet has the issues.

Although, in the OP’s second comment he does state:- “I opened a case with L6 and they said it will be addressed in a future update.” Last info regarding a possible 3.80 firmware update was mentioned in a post by Digital igloo over on TGP, about a month back, when he said they are aiming for later this year - don’t hold your breath. Hope this helps/makes sense.
CourtlandAdams
Absolute nightmare… just discovered this issue today, and the Ratchet is a key element in one of my band’s songs… if they don’t fix this ‘til the end of the year then that’s going to cause some real issues…

Hope this helps/makes sense.
urlordfu
This is still a problem on my Helix Rack. Ratchet delay just gets lower and lower until it all stops at about 8 repeats. 3.71 August 2024

Best guess is that it will continue to be a problem on all Helix products until the next update of the firmware, which has no actual predicted release date as yet, other than “later this year” - see previous posts (May 2024) above. Until it is fixed, you have the option of reverting back to a prior instance of the firmware that did function correctly. Hope this helps/makes sense.
