klasi Posted March 13 Share Posted March 13 If I hit a note or chord hard and let it ring out it will be 25% softer/quieter for about 3-4 seconds and then it will suddenly jump in volume to what it should be at. I swapped out tubes - no difference. I plugged a cable in the effects loop in & out - no difference. I did a factory reset - no difference. psarkissian Posted March 13 Share Posted March 13 Put amp into "Standby" mode, main power on, let it warm up 2-3 minutes, then turn standby switch to on position. Tube amps that make use of a heater element circuit, it's a good idea to let it warm up 2-3 minutes before taking it out of "Standby" mode. Swapping tubes,... I hope they are the specified tubes and that the power tubes are matched pairs,.... DT-50 Series: 12AX7EH Electro-Harmonix approved for the DT50 pre-amps. klasi Posted March 13 Author Share Posted March 13 I let it warm up for 30+ minutes. No difference. The only setting the volume drop is not noticeable is when it is on Voicing: IV. As for the tube swap. I only did individual tubes one at a time to see if there was a particular tube acting up. And then I only ran the amp for 2-3 minutes per tube.
