Picksalotmore
Is it possible to use the Footswitch "Stomp Select" parameter in Global Settings to allow switching between Snapshots by just touching one of the three footswitches? My capacitive switches do work on things like Swapping Snapshot 1 and 3 by touching both buttons at the same time. But just touching button 3 does not switch to button 3. I've tried Stomp Select settings for: Touch, and Both. Neither achieves what I want. Am I missing something in the settings? Hi, Simple answer - No. As you are already aware the Global Setting parameter named "Stomp Select" because it only works with the Stomp Switch selection. From the manual: - When set to “Touch,” touching a Stomp mode switch selects its assigned item(s), but pressing doesn’t. When set to “Press,” pressing a Stomp mode switch selects its assigned item(s), but touching doesn’t (helpful if you insist on playing barefoot). When set to “Both,” either touching or pressing will select the assigned item. The default is “Touch.” Therefore, when in Stomp mode touching an assigned foot switch will highlight that effect block ready to be edited. This doesn't/can't happen in Snapshot mode because there is no physical block to edit, although you can rearrange the layout of their relative positions on the board by touching two switches. To select and execute a Snapshot, simply press the foot switch to which it has been assigned. Hope this/helps/makes sense.
Picksalotmore
Thanks "datacommando" for the reply, explanation, and confirmation that it can't be done as I imagined. I was hoping to extend the life of the foot switches by using the Touch, instead of having to press them. My Stomp is almost 4 years old and I use it for hours every day.

Hi, Well, for the record, next month, my Helix floor will have been used as the main audio interface in my studio almost daily for the past 9 years. Although, I do have a couple of other Audio Interfaces as fail safe boxes, as anything electronic can crap out at anytime. These things are computers, but nonetheless subject to the usual wear and tear of daily use and things are likely to fail at some point. That’s just the way it is, especially something that is designed to be jumped on by feet. You buy these thing and take a chance. As far as my Helix is concerned, if it failed and couldn’t have it repaired, then I would replace it with another. :)
