Hi there!

Do you know if it is possible to aggregate the HX Stomp + Focusrite on windows?

I tried asio4all and vb-Audio Matrix and none seem to work.

Have someone successfully done it? Or at least is there a firm information saying it is not possible?

I have been trying for a couple of days with zero luck.

I assume that by ‘aggregate’ you mean the ability to use both devices simultaneously as the audio input and/or output devices. If so I’m pretty sure (less than 100% confidence) the answer is HX Stomp, as an audio interface for recording purposes, uses the ASIO protocol which requires that the same audio device, and only that device, be used as both input and output device. Hence it won’t work with the Scarlett. This limitation is imposed by the ASIO protocol and the HX Stomp is fully compliant with it.

You mention that Asio4All doesn’t work. I’m not surprised. It seems to work for some people in some PC configurations but generally it is known to cause problems with Line 6 devices. That’s because Asio4All is not fully compliant with the ASIO protocol, part.y because it attempts to contravene the protocol by supporting more than one device.

Whether or not you consider this ‘firm information’ is up to you I guess. As I said, not 100% certain because I’ve heard reports of asio4all working for some. If it’s not working for you now I don’t think you will get it working.

Hi,

I’m a Mac Pilot, so creating an aggregate of audio interfaces is very simple and it just works. When it comes to Windows PC machines, then it can be a whole can of worms.

Sweetwater have this article on their website -

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Maybe try one of the VoiceMeeter apps https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/

I've managed to use them to virtual mix multiple devices on Windows and provide a low latency monitor for hardware that summed stereo inputs to mono when in direct monitor mode.

It may not be what you want/need but they're donation-ware so little risk.
