adding LFOs and envelope followers would be a ridiculously simply addition, yet would open up infinitely many sonic options that don't currently exist - and the DSP mathematics behind them is extremely simple

I see that the Fractal has an LFO. Someone keeps up a list of DSP requirements for each block in the Helix, but I don't see one for the Fractal. Regardless, would an LFO pedal through one of the loops do what you need? I get that it's an extra expense, but certainly cheaper than getting a Fractal.

These videos are so comically predictable.

it seems that you even got the attention of young Mr. Cordy over on that YouTube thing.

Well, it has been discussed pretty much everywhere else, too.

Personally, I don't even know why, simply because pretty much everything is obvious. Hardware is aging, new tech needs newer hardware, newer hardware is also needed to generate new sales. And that was it already.

To be honest, while he certainly likes delay and reverb, his sounds still are pretty articulate IMO. Let alone he's an excellent player.

I do however agree on the rest, it's becoming predictable and (unfortunately) clickbaity.

Yeah, it would appear that everyone is of the same opinion that something new is just over the horizon.

I still don't think it'll happen that soon. Maybe in a year.

Bring it on!

Fwiw, personally I'm so happy with my new setup, they'd have to be pushing hard to even get me interested.
