Hi Folks,

I hooked my Helix LT to my tube amp using 4CM and it sounds great.

I then tried to add a model amp to my chaain but when i bypass my tube amo and engage the model it very low volume and horrible hiss.

What do i do to get the Helix to give me the best of both worlds

Use HX Edit to export your preset file. The filetype will be *.hlx; note the destination folder. Then make another post in this thread. Below your text you will see a paper clip icon. Select the hlx file to attach it to your post.

Im not sure if you have read my threads but ive tried to follow the line 6 tutorial on 4cm and used the preset 4cm as wel as trying to build the preset from scratch.

I really need someone to guide me through the process.

Can you teach me ?

Thanks for replying

The first thing that I noticed is that the fx loop block isn't deactivated when the preamp is on. This means you have two cascaded preamps which would explain the hiss. Also note that Helix's preamps are pretty low in level. Use the preamp's Ch Vol and/or the Output block's Level to compensate.
