silverhead
I had a boot drive failure in Win10. I replaced the boot drive and took the opportunity to upgrade to a clean install of Win11. I am able to login to my Line 6 account for purposes of the forums. However I am unable to login using Helix Native to authorize it. Similar issue trying to login using HX Edit and License Manager. Error Code 8000200b "The attempt to secure the connection failed." Any ideas other than support ticket?
lou-kash
Having HN open in Logic (i.e. Mac) at the moment, I just checked, and I can log in just fine. So it's not their servers. Although… you'll never know: e.g. the forum login was broken for me multiple times this week.
silverhead
Thanks for confirming that it's not their servers.
silverhead
More info.... I also have Ampeg's SVT Suite app/plugin. I can log in successfully to my Ampeg account to authorize it. Both Line 6 and Ampeg are owned by YGG and they share some technical resources re: plugin development. It's a mystery to me why my Ampeg account login seems fine but my Line 6 account login isn't working properly.

Any ideas other than support ticket? Hi, I'm a mac user, but I seem to recall similar events when folks have swapped out hard drives and then have issues trying to log in HX Native. If memory serves, it's to do with the way the HXN license is registered to a particular device, and even though you are using the same computer, the change of hard disk and then especially upgrading to Windows 11 throws a spanner in the works making it appear as a completely new device. IIRC you have to de-authorise and then re-authorised as a new computer. If you have a dig around in here you are bound to find a reference to someone who encountered this issue after changing a drive. Hope this helps/makes sense

Unfortunately I can't login using License Manager in order to authorize the new computer. I have deauthorized all others since this is the only one I use with Line 6 stuff. I have opened a support ticket.
silverhead
Update: For no real reason I decided to change my Line 6 account password and this seems to have resolved things. I am 99.99% certain that I was using the correct password earlier. Something screwed up but I am not going to pursue it.

File this one under “Weird & Mysterious Happenings” and enjoy being able to run HXN again. Yay!
