reedrainey
Hello, everyone, My Variax 700 Electric modeler has a Piezo pickup on a string that has a somewhat lower volume than the others. Is there a way to change the volume of the individual Piezo pickups on this instrument, please? Thank you for your help, in adavance! silverhead
Download and install the original Workbench software, not Workbench HD. This is the pre-JTV Variax editor. It allows you to adjust individual string volume levels. Unless you have a VDI-equipped Line 6 guitar processor (X3 Live, XT Live, some POD HD/Helix devices) you will also need the Variax Workbench hardware interface device. If you don’t already have one you may find them scarce and surprisingly costly.
psarkissian
With a cotton swab, drip in isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner onto the piezo. Let in work its way into the saddle. The blow it out with canned air. Repeat as needed. If that doesn't do it, take it to a Line 6 authorized service center to have it checked out. Could be a failing piezo or solder point. Have an service tech experienced with this product deal with it.
