Schmalle
It sounds like you're having a very frustrating experience! Here is a rewritten version of your issue that is clearer and easier for others to understand: Line 6 Helix Floor Connection Issues with HX Edit I'm having persistent connection issues with my Line 6 Helix Floor and the HX Edit software on both Mac and Windows operating systems. The main problem is that the Helix will not reliably connect to HX Edit via USB. I've tried multiple USB cables, including another known-good cable, but the issue persists. When a connection is established, it is unstable. It typically stays connected for only a few minutes before disconnecting. This connecting/disconnecting cycle repeats several times. Glitching and Freezing: While it is briefly connected, the Helix Floor unit itself (and likely the HX Edit display) will start glitching and freezing. I'm unable to resolve this and I've already tried to open a support ticket with Line 6, but the system is not allowing me to submit it. Is that a fair rewrite? Concerning the support ticket problem, how did you realize that the system doesn't allow to submit it? Could you tell what specific Mac and Windows operating systems you are using (e.g., macOS Sonoma, Windows 11) and what troubleshooting steps you've already taken (besides changing the cable)? This information might help in suggesting a solution.

You stated that you have tried using both Mac and Windows machine to connect without success. You didn’t mention what level of OS is running on these computers - it may, or may not be relevant. You also didn’t say if this is the first time you have tried to connect, or if you have had it working previously without issue - if so, what changed? Regarding the Windows machine. Avoid using a USB Hub! You should be aware that on some PCs the front USB ports can behave like a hub and it is recommended that you connect to a USB slot on the rear of the machine? This rear port is most likely mounted directly to the main board and is probably a more stable connection. Furthermore, if you are trying to connect HX Edit on the PC, please ensure you are using the latest drivers for the software and that your version of HX Edit and the firmware on Helix device are on the same revision. Also, (more USB voodoo), just because the USB cable you're using works with your printer (or whatever) doesn't necessarily make it suitable to hookup to your Helix. Ensure you USB cables are designed for data transmission, some are for charging only. Check all your cables if you are suffering drop out. Over the past 10 years, this place has become full of threads regarding flakey USB, but there are still many thousands of happy Helix users who never seem to have USB problems. I don’t understand how you cannot raise a ticket with support? You must be able to access your account details, as you are obviously logged in to be able to post here. Please try again. Hope this helps/makes sense.
