Yanu91
I've followed the instructions to route the L/MONO 1/4 output into my Amp's FX return - mixer on the stadium is showing output levels but nothing is coming through the amp. Any ideas why? The amp is a blackstar ht5r mkii. I'm at a point where I'm thinking it must be the amp/ incompatibility but can't see why there would be an issue. silverhead
I don’t know what the issue is but here are a few troubleshooting ideas to isolate the problem. - test the cable (sorry to be so basic but that’s where to start!) - make sure the levels are compatible; i.e. 1/4” Output level matches amp’s FX Return level expectation. - connect the output to a different device’s input; not your amp. - use an XL Send output, not the 1/4” output Those steps should give you an indication of how far the signal reaches, and whether the problem lies somewhere in the XL or in your amp. rwandering
I believe this is a Blackstar issue. I have an HT-40, and to get it to function with just the FX return I have to plug something into its instrument in. That is, an unconnected TS cable. It doesn't matter since that signal shouldn't go anywhere.

Yanu91, are you doing this using the four cable method? On the rear of the ht5r mkii, what is the effects level set to (-10dB pushed in or +4dB out position)? If it is pushed in try setting it to the +4dB level setting. jpd

Stupid question: did you check the output volume of the 1/4” (which is NOT the same as the mixer)? just asking cuz I’ve had that issue… I mean, a friend had that issue ;)
red3recon
I... Also have a friend who had that problem. Then I....he also found out that if the Marshall amp boots up with the effects loop button already turned on, it doesn't work, it has to be turned off and then turned back on...or so I was told
