joerch71
I have connected my stadium XL via S/PDIF out to my RME fireface UCX. I receive a signal, but it's only mono. I have the XLR outputs also connected to my RME interface - here the signal is stereo. Anyone?
ReverendLove
How and where did you route to the spdif? Check the setting in in-/oitput settings of the stadium.
joerch71
There's signal via S/PDIF that I can receive - I fiddled with the global settings output options to get it working. However, there's no option for mono/stereo - that's why I am surprised that the signal my fireface receives is mono.
ReverendLove
I can't see any option for this too. I get always a stereo signal. Obfiously it depends where you take the signal from the path if both channels are equal or different. So - no real mono

ReverendLove
Should be stereo with different channels if you've put stereo modules right of the amp nodule. But here and in the Facebook groups are reports of misbehaving SPDIF outputs. I use SPDIF only splitted from the other path at the beginning to have a clean recording of my instrument. The output is stereo with two identical channels. This is what I expect.
joerch71
Yes, I could trace it down. I have had ugly dropouts with the S/PDIF output - at times it was totally quiet and then the sound came back, but was ugly ... sync problems I guess, or internal DSP problems. But once it was back, it was in stereo. It seems that there are a lot of bugs Line6 have to work on. Once everything works, I am planning to use S/PDIF to record the guitar DI and XLR to record the master out. I might also try and look for an output configuration in which I have the amp after the cab as a mono output, the stereo effects as an extra stereo output and the DI. jiml6
S/PDIF is stereo by default. Make sure there are no mono blocks in your signal path.

Thank you for the reminder. I did forget about that!
