shredwutz
can anyone help me? i'm using a variax 600 via vdi on my recent purchase, a used Pod HD Pro. i've been spending hours before buying the HD pro reading in forums, and was I sure that I could play the variax 600 with the HD Pro without any additional power-supply. I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't replace the XPA-AB and the external USB-I also thought I could use workbench HD with the HD Pro as an interface for the variax, but this doesn't work. I need the XPS-AB top power the variax, and even then the Variax is not recognized by workbench. I did a complete reinstall of the HD Pro, all items are up-to-date. any guesses? best regards, shredwutz
shredwutz
SOLVED! (not really). I opened the Pod HD Pro. several parts right at the Variax-Input fried, L39, L40...
silverhead
Also be aware that a pre-JTV Variax, like your 600, require the original Workbench software - not Workbench HD.
shredwutz
Thank you, I also tried the old Workbench. Now I need to find someone to fix this, I don't have the tools to work on smd-parts. : ((
