StageScape M20d as a playback device for Win7?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

anybody using M20d as a playback device for Window 7 Audio Output  (iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc.)?

I run  the line 6 stagescape Driver  1.21.0.0

I assigned "Laptop" preset to channels 17/18

Sound heard through the Speakers with a delay of approx. greater 1 second.

I adjusted everything as suggested in this section (16bit / 44.1kHz, Default Buffer 512, Tone direct buffer size at almost extra smal)

I tried almost all Settings and I cleaned up my USB installations but it seems to make no difference.

currently I do not do any USB recordings. I just want to fix this issue first

thanks for sharing your experiences

The M20d is not designed to be an audio interface for general purposes like you describe. It is OK for audio capture (recording an original performance) but it has too much latency to be used as a general soundcard or as a recording interface for overdubbing and multiple takes.

I have experienced the same latency that you do and have not been able to remove it. I don't think you'll find satisfaction with this.

I tried tonight I got two channels working , why can't they update m20d so you can use it a an interface and use all channels to record. You can do it with sd card. This would really help the sales of the m20d, best of both worlds
