It is the headphones apparently. Not just any headphones, my Sennheiser HD500 headphones which i use for everything. I created a new patch with just a simple amp/cab block. Running the HD500 set, there is a definite lag/delay/peak. The HD500 has a replaceable cable, so I got a new cable, same thing. We run the same set of headphones on a phone with Garageband, all is fine. We run the same set with an electric drum set all is fine. We tried two other sets of headphones on the Helix. Another set of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro, sound fine. A set of my sons Beats, sounds fine. The Sennheiser HD 500 set of cans is what I have been using for many years, never seen them not work on anything. Just the Helix and that set do not work. They do work with everything else even the old HD500.

I did not create a new blank patch and start from scratch. I should have done that to confirm it was not an odd block. But every patch, went through 3 banks, all had the lag/delay and sounded like it was peaking. Again, this was with headphones plugged into the headphone jack using the headphone volume. I did plug the headphones into the left 1/4" output to just check the patch sound. Sounded fine. I normally run the left XLR out to my powered monitor and right XLR to the board. That setup sounds great.

Plugged in headphones last night to just mess with some patches. First time use. Has a latency, delay and any distorted sounds are expanded. Clean tones sound clean but have a lag/delay. All other output works fine. I did plug the headphones into the left 1/4" out, all the patches sound fine. Went into Global Settings to see if I missed something?

I have El Cap running on my iMac 2011 and Macbook Pro 2015. Both are working fine. Check the energy saver options in the computer settings? Maybe something trying to go to sleep. On both computers if I leave everything plugged-in and walk away, come back to a sleep computer, I move my mouse, it will say no midi connection on the Helix app. If I give it a second it will re-connect after a few minutes.

JazzInc, Nice patch. Amsdenj, nice blog post. Was a good read while having a slow day at work. Had the Helix from the initial Sweetwater shipment a couple months ago. Loving the patches we have gotten just in the past week. Getting some quality patches off the CustomTone site and Forum. I am a worship player and found the Helix to mix in nicely with my acoustic work and electric. I was an Axe user up to a couple months ago. Not getting into a comparison, but do enjoy the editing on the Helix board itself. Really want the editor, but Line 6 did setup the editing very well on the board. I do feel what has helped Fractal is the forum and quality of help. Hope this board continues to grow in the same way. Good stuff.

I have not found any solution to the Mini Rectifier or the 5:25. Apparently there is a way to make a cable not going to worry about modifying the cable. I run the Amp Channel switch on the board. My needs are not that I need that fast of switching. Just need it to go clean or dirty as needed for the song. Do not switch clean to dirt mid song all that much. Would make it easier but will wait and see what Line 6 can do to fix it.

Did this ever get resolved? Mesa 5:25 and Mesa Mini Rectifier 4CM channel switching does not work using the Helix.

Phil, Noticed some clips you did on The Gear Page of an acoustic. You mentioned using the Taylor IRs. Interested in the other part of the chain? Using a pre-amp? Been trying to just use an EQ with reverb and an IR.

What am i missing? Normal setup is Acoustic, BodyRez, Reverb then to a DI to FOH. Plugged my acoustic in last night to the helix, using the XLR from the DI direct to the Helix. Zero volume. I have a PRS P22, tried running the Piezo side into the Helix, same problem? Tried running an EQ block, then went to a Pre-amp block? I would like a boost and some eq but no gain.

My Mini-Rectifier is not working as well. It will not switch the amp. Only flashes channel on and back. I have to hit the pedal twice to make it do that.

After watching the video posted this morning (10-15-15) regarding the problem with the Helix and a Mesa V:25 not switching, I wanted to check out my setup. I ran a 4CM, everything works great with that setup on both a Mesa V:25 and a Mini Rect. Surprised of how quiet it was on clean/dirt even at high gain and volume. Problem is in the Amp Switch. Using the same cable that was supplied with the Mesa V:25, I get the same results. Amp switch on 1, 2 or 1/2 all do nothing for the channel switch. 2 and 1/2 will switch the EQ on/off. The Mesa mini Rect, using the same cable that was supplied with the amp, simply flashes the channel on off. It will not stay on channel 1 only the dirt channel which it goes to when the cable is plugged in. Both amps will switch to the dirt channel, no matter what channel they are in at that moment the cable is plugged in. Both cables are TS cables supplied by Mesa. Both foot switches supplied by mesa work the amp channel. Will post a video in the morning at work. Slow internet here at the house. The Amp Switching does not work with either of my Mesa amps.

Interested to know if you are using any amp switching? Would like to be able to switch amp channels in the 4CM method.
