  1. After a few minutes I get an" http request error" I have no issues with my internet connection, and I have never had any problems with other updates
  2. I'm finally getting around to installing 2.82 but Line 6 Updater will not work. I have downloaded and installed 2.82 HX Edit. I click on "sign in" in the Updater and it just sits there, it will not open. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  3. Would a short power cord for a computer be sufficient to power my Helix? I plug in to the floor on stage 6 inches from the Helix, and the power cord is much longer than I need. I've seen 1 foot long cords for computers, will it work?
  4. I use both methods now. I have one piezo signal going through the Helix, and another guitar going straight into the L2t. Both sound great, of course you have far more options going into the Helix.

and as soon as it's released , the whining about "when will a new update be released" will start.................again
  6. I can't say why, but I have always put them first in the signal chain. I'm going to move it and see what happens, thanks
  7. I just received an email from Line 6 about this... "When a volume is in the signal near the beginning, the range of the "throw" is diminished due to the lack of dynamic range and compression introduced from the amp model. If you want to change that, move the volume pedal block to the end of the signal chain."
  8. My volume pedal has no in between volume, it's either full on or completely off. When I set the block up, you can see it showing a gradual increase on the graph, but there is none when actually using it. Any ideas how to fix this?
  9. Very cool! If anyone is offended by this ,they need thicker skin, or a safety pin.
  10. I'll bet you were the one guy that could program a VCR... :D
  11. I don't have the time, skill, or patience to create quality tones from scratch. I have gladly paid for many, and will continue to do so. I seldom have to do much more than a little tweaking to get them just right for me.
  12. this reminded me of this..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFsOUbZ0Lr0
  13. Forgive me if this is a stupid question..... Is an IR pretty much just another amp/cab? If so, the patch you are creating in the video would be the same as running 2 different amp/cab setups on one signal path? I am a complete novice when it comes to tone creation, and so much of this stuff makes little sense. I have watched the first 15 minutes of your video, and it has helped A LOT! thanks!
  14. I have 3 PRS that all have piezo bridges in them. I am the only guitar in our group, and having the ability to intro with acoustics and have both active at the same time helps fill out the sound. I watched your videos, and I am definitely going to try your setup....if I can get a grip on how to set it up.
  15. Is it possible to have both the mags and piezo both going through my Helix ? I have a PRS with the LR Baggs piezo bridge, and I'm curious if it's possible since each has it's own output jack. If it is possible , can both be active at the same time?
  16. I called a GC in Orlando out of the blue one day. They said they just got 2 in, and they would hold one for me until that evening. I drove an hour over to them right after work, and was lucky to get mine. One was sold 15 minutes after it came in, and the sales guy I talked to said his manager told them they could not hold mine because I didn't leave a deposit on it! Fortunately it was still there when I arrived.
  17. I've been using a HD500X for quite a while now, should I expect a significant difference between the two?
  18. I buy/sell/trade guitars so often, I try not to do any permanent mods. If I did, this is the way to do it.
  19. Thanks! I'll load it up this weekend and try it out.
  20. This the first install I did. It's a CU22. This is the only install I've done that has a permanent mod, I drilled and installed a micro 3 way switch . On the last 3 I did not install a switch. I just turn the volume off on the either one. To route the piezo saddle wires, I notched the pickup ring and ran them through the same hole the pickup leads go through into the control cavity. They are aligned with the strings, so from the front you really don't notice them.
  21. rhythm, an occasional lead fill, but predominately rhythym
  22. Is it possible to assign one amp to a footswitch, so that it can be turned on and off?
